EXPOSURE VISIT OF SSA TEACHERS FROM NIMH ON 3RD MARCH 2016

Dear All

Chetana has got the opportunity of having guidance from national Institute for the Mentally Handicapped (NIMH), Secunderabad. 

In this direction, the team of Special Educators of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) undergoing training at NIMH, Secunderabad came for exposure visit to see the processes of training and rehabilitation of Persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities going on at Chetana Rehabilitation Centre. 

The team was lead by Shri. P. Sammaiah, Rehabilitation Officer, NIMH and made the team to feel the realities with better understanding of stages from identification to empowerment on life cycle basis which includes the concern of the parents that “what will happen to the child after us?” 

Such visits have enhanced the confidence level of PWIDDs and their parents so that all together can do wonders for creating inclusive environment / community with improved quality of life....
