NATIONAL SEMINAR ON INCLUSIVE EDUCATION BY NIMH IN FEB 2012
Dear All
We are happy to know that NIMH is going to organize " NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON INCLUSIVE EDUCATION FOR STUDENTS WITH MENTAL RETARDATION" on 21st Feb 2012 followed by its 28th Annual Day.
The objective of the Seminar as announced were as follows:
- To understand the current practices in promoting Inclusive Education of persons with mental retardation.
- To create a data bank on strategies for implementation of inclusive education practices for persons with mental retardation.
- To create a platform for providing appropriate education to students with mental retardation at Secondary and Higher level.
- To formulate strategies to create awareness among stakeholders such as bureaucrats, educators, parents and general public on the Right To Education for children with mental retardation.
This forum helps us to enhance our strength with better capacities so that the concept and philosophy can be carried forward for the better inclusion of the targeted people with disabilities. After participation, we be posting more on this key issue.
