CHETANA WITH RIGTH TO EDUCATION (RTE)

Dear All

In continuation to its services, training and rehabilitation for the children with special needs, Chetana is also working with Right to Education for:

• Creating Awareness among the paretns and community memebrs
• Utilize the benefits of RTE for the mainstreaming of children with special needs and
• Facilitating servcies for its targeted groups.

The understanding and utilization of RTE has got several limitations and needs more efforts with concern & commitment for getting the benefits to the targeted children.

It is in the process of netwroking with the stakeholders for the better utilization of RTE.

UTILIAZATION OF MEDICAL CLAIMS UNDER NIRAMAYA HEALTH SCHEME

Dear All

After getting the NIRAMAYA Health Cards, Chetana has made initiation to utilize the benfits.

In this direction, the medical bills of the child with special needs who has been forced to utilize the emergency medical services have been processed and kept ready for desptacth.

This is an example of Chetana's readyness in supporting its students.  

This has created better awareness among other parents to utilize the Niramaya Helath Card asper the Scheme guidelines. 

Chetana will be doing more scuh facilitations in getting better support for its students.

OPENING OF BANK ACCOUTNS FOR CHILDREN WITH MENTAL RETARDATION

Dear All

In contitnuation to the assurance given by the Branch Manager of SBI, BHEL, the team visited the Chetana School on 22nd June 2012 and completed the formalities of opening the Bank Account with joint operation of their father or mother.

By clarifying all the doubts of the parents, the team has completed the formalities for 12 children and assured to extend such benefit for more children with special needs.  

This is a welcome step as having a Bank Account is essential for the utilization of NIRAMAYA Health Card Benefits and many more from various departments.   

Shri N Lakshmi Narayana, the Advicer of Chetana had interactions with the parents, management and team from SBI for doing the things for better solutions.  

THe Management and paretns appriciated the support fo the team of SBI and requested for continued support.

COMPUTER SYSTEM DONOTED BY THE PARENT OF A CHILD WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

Dear All

As indicated earlier, Chetana needs support of all the parents of children with special needs.

In this direction, Shri. K K Ramana Rao has donated one Computer to the Chetana Special School on 20th June 2012. It is the good tradition which helps the School to enhance its resoruces to cater the needs of its studetns.

This is the way shown by Shri KK Ramana Rao which ignites the mindes of other parents to come forward for support the training and rehabilitation of their own children.  

The paretns present on  this day have appriciated the support of KKRR and assured to follow.

BIRTHDAY FUNCTION OF DHRUV NAIDU IN THE SCHOOL

Dear All

Chetanahas made a tradition of celebrating its students Birthday in its School itself.

In this process, Mr. Dhruv Naidu, the child with special needs Birthday has been celebrated on 20th June 2012 in the presence of other such students ad their parents.  The celebrations were followed by the lunch sponsored by their parents.

This was enjoyed by all and appriciated the efforts made by the Chetanaand concluded to have the same tradition.

ADDRESSING THE PARENTS

Dear All

After the distribution of the NIRAMAYA Health cards, the Chief Guest had interactions with the Parents for understadning the needs of the children with special needs. 

One of the key issue of opening the Bank Account in the name of their children or with joint operation was discussed and came to an understanding to open joint account of the child wth their fatehr or mother.

This was well appriciated by the parents as opening of Bank Account will help them to utilize the Niramaya Health Card benefits.  

BM assured to do the follow up in opening the Bank Accounts in the School itself.

The Celebrations were came to an end with vote of tahnks to the Chief Guest and memebrs of the Organization who activily supported for the smotth orgnaization of the event.

DISTRIBUTION OF NIRAMAYA HEALTH CARD OF THE NATIONAL TRUST, DELHI.

Dear All

Chetana has made effrots in getting the NIRAMAYA Health Card for its children. This sithe first time it could get this benefit to its children. This is the Health Insurance given by the National Trust, New Delhi.

Under this Scheme, the beneficiary can get the reimbursement up to 1.0 Lakh  in a year. 

This distribution Function has been orgnaized in the School on 20th June and the Chief Guest Shri. P Ramesh, Branch Manager, SBI, BHEL, Hyderabad has distributed 10 number of health cards to the children. He further stressed for getting such benefit to all its students. Chetana is in the process of getting such cards for all its students. 

The parents were happy and expressed thanks to the Management and Staff  who's efforts could get such benefit. They expressed their concer to get more scuh benefits from all the sectors.

CHETANA WITH MAINSTREAMING OF CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

Dear All

In continatuion to its concern and commitment for the children with special needs, it has shown more interest towards thier mainstreming. In this direction, it has put best efforts for early identification and early intervention so that after needful of training, majority of them can be admitted in the normal schools.

It is in the process and more will be posted for better sharing and learnings.

CONTINUATION OF ACTIVITIES

Dear All

In continuation, it has conducted several community programme in the selected communities. It is mainly to reach the unreached and to create better awareness among the stakeholders in respect of issues of Disability and ways to minimize its impact in the lives of the children with disabilities.

Prevetnion of disabilties is also added issue as disability, poverty and development are the casue and consequences of each other.

In view of this, Chetana is putting its best efforts in developing sustainable solutions matching to the skills, needs and vulnerabilities of the targeted groups.
