REGISTRATION UNDER 35 AC OF INCOME TAX ACT

Dear All

After getting the Exemptions under 12A & 80G of Income Tax Exemptions and registering under FCRA, the Management of Chetana has passed the resolution to apply for the Exemption under 35AC of Income Tax Act.

It is in the process of preparing the  Application, Project Report and other necessary documents as per the guidelines and will be submitting the same by end of this month. 

In addition to the recent click of getting the approval for the Project from HHH, the approval under section 35AC is going to be additional strength  in mobilizing the required resources.

CHETANA MADE A TOUR TO VARANASI 13TH - 24TH MAY 2015 WITH CHILDREN & PARENTS

Dear All

In addition to the training and rehabilitation services, Chetana made an attempt for mainstreaming into the society of different culture and traditions. 

In this direction, the children along with their parents and staff with a strength of 22 members made along trip to Varanasi from 13th to 24th May 2015

They had a pleasure of visiting several places around Varanasi. During the whole tour, all the children have enjoyed the difference with out any problem. This is the  good example of mainstreaming into the Society with out any limitations. 

This has motivate all to have several such visits so that the parents will have better answer for their concern that "what will happen to the child after us?"

MOBILIZATION OF RESORUCES

Dear All

At present Chetana is managing all its service activities based on the local supports which are not regular. The is a need to reach more such targeted groups both quantitative and qualitatively. Under these circumstances, Chetana is planning to mobilize the matching resources from Corporate, Industries, Funding Agencies both National and International, Banks, LIC and other such potential departments / agencies. 

It is trying to submit the project proposal both by hard coy or mail so that the agencies can be reached at an early date with dynamic connectivity.

LONG TOUR FOR THE PARENTS WITH CHILDREN

Dear All

A group of Parents along with the Management of Chetana and their children planned to have a long journey to VARANASI and back. 

It is around 10 days tour and specifically planned to expose the PWIDDs to larger groups of people, transportation, different living environment, and others so that they will have better awareness with adjustment  with minimum support and care from their parents.    

More details will be posted after the completion of the tour along with the feelings of the PWIDDs.

RESIDENTIAL FACILITIES

Dear All

In continuation to its initiatives, Chetana has conducted a meet with the parents who got interest to have residential facilities for their children.  The parents expressed their concern, needs, apprehensions, risk, security, protection, and other such so that their children will have better stay with comfort. In addition, some of the parents expressed their difficulty and requested to have school during the summer. 

Chetana expressed its plan of having the residential facility for a unit of 10 children who are mostly adults. The meet came to an end to start the same from June 2015.   

Looking forward to have more such children who needs the residential care so that better security both socially and economically can be created on life cycle basis.

COMMUNITY VISIT

Dear All

During the Summer Vacation, the team of professionals visited the selected communities in rural parts of Ranga Reddy District and had interactions with the Community Members, Anganwadi Workers, Health Workers, Parents, PWDs and others.  

The points covered by the team of Chetana during the visit includes:  

  1. Causes and consequences of Disabilities in general and particularly the  mental retardation, autism, cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities. 
  2. Measures for the prevention of disabilities.
  3. Early Identification and Early Interventions.
  4. Training and Rehabilitation.
  5. Employment & Livelihoods.
  6. Schemes and Benefits from Government and Private. 
  7. Life Care Services. 
  8. Other needy services, supports and others. 
The response was very much encouraging and all the suggested services are need based. This has helped to identify the targeted groups.  

Looking forward to conduct more such events with effective participation of the stakeholders of disability sector.

PARENTS' MEET

Dear All

The Academic year of 2014-15 came to an end and organized parents' meet in the school campus. Some of the points discussed are as follows:

  1. Catering the needs of their child during the Summer Vacation.
  2. Possibilities of having the Residential Facilities.
  3. Adding of Vocational Trades.
  4. Facilitation for getting open employment.
  5. Creation of Livelihoods as Group Employment (SHGs) both at Institute and Community.
  6. Possibilities for Micro-Entrepreneurship.
  7. Parental Role on regular basis even on day day basis.     
The meet came to an end with some action plan which will be refined later by the Professionals and other well wishers.
