CHETANA SHIFTING TO NEW PREMISES ON 2ND MARCH 2015

Dear All

Finally Chetana has got the suitable accommodation at ICRISAT Colony, Phase II, Bowenpally for shifting its present Rehabilitation Centre. This is very near to NIMH & NIHH, Secunderabad.

This is an independent House having the required space and facilities for training and rehabilitation and to initiated Residential Facilities in a smaller way. 

This is going to be inaugurated by Dr. KV Ramanachary, IAS (Retd.), Advisor, Government of Telangana along with the parents, professionals, supporters and well wishers. 

More will be posted in due course of time.  

Chetana needs blessings along with supports so more such children can be reached with need based supports, interventions, trainings, rehabilitation and skill development.

CHETANA TO INITIATE E NEWS LETTER

Dear All

Matching to its vision, mission and objectives, Chetana has initiated the process of disseminating the information about its services, training, supports and rehabilitation steps designed, implemented, monitored and evaluated (DIME) by way of print, electronic, e-forums and other such needy one. 

In addition, Chetana felt the need of having a News Letter so that it can have dynamic connectivity with its stakeholders at all levels.  

As a beginning, it has decided to bring E - News Letter on quarterly basis beginning from january 2015. The first Issue of the first Volume for the period January - March 2015 will be released in the FIRST week of April 2015. 

Then it will continue the same for each quarter. In due course of time, we will plan for the printed News Letter.

CHETANA LOOKS FOR PROVIDING RESIDENTIAL FACILITIES

Dear All

In continuation to the search for the new accommodation, Chetana is also collecting the data base from the Parents of PWIDDs who requires Residential Facilities for their child.  

This process of planning for Residential Facilities is on need based with protective environment having better access. 

Chetana is working out on the model of activities, facilities, safety measures, food arrangements and other supports required by the PWIDDs.

The whole process will be participatory with the team of professionals, caregivers, parents and other well wishers.  

Chetana is looking forward to get the support as some of the parents are very poor and not in a position to afford the cost of services. We will be happy to provide more details in support of our proposal of Residential Facilities.

Chetana has got the Tax Exemptions under section 12A of Income Tax Act and FCRA to receive Funds from Foreign Sources.

CHETANA IS PLANNING TO WIDEN ITS SERVICES

Dear All

With the successful completion of First Decade of Service Journey, Chetana is planning to widen its services matching to the needs of the targeted groups who have already reached and to be reached. 

In this direction, the first step its is planning is to look for bigger accommodation which is well connected with better approach.  

It is in the process and will be give more scope for new admissions once its shifts to the new premises.

LOOKING FOR SUPPORT FROM HHH

In continuation to its presentation made on the creation of Livelihoods as an Empowerment at recent Workshop organized by Tack for Seva in the month of December 2014, Chetana has formulated the same into project proposal and submitted the same to Heart and Hand for the Handicapped, New York. The details of the same were furnished below as:  

The Vocational Training for the PWIDDs includes various Trades like:

ü  Candles Making (Normal & Gel Type),

ü  Atta Making,

ü  Masala Making,

ü  Screen Printing,

ü  Pot Painting,

ü  Plate (Meals) Making,

ü  Phenyl Making,

ü  Washing Powder Making,

ü  Detergent Powder Making,

ü  Soap Oil Making,

ü  Making of Ornamental Items, and

ü  Other Products of Livelihoods.   

      The selection of the Vocational Trade for the Trainees will be based on their skills, needs and possible family circumstances / environment so as to create suitable & meaningful livelihoods. The whole programme is on DAY CARE basis and residential facilities will be added in due course of time.

      Along with the Trainees, their parents in general and particularly Mothers will be associated so that they help for creating livelihoods either with self employment of group employment or both.  

      In the process of Vocational Training, after the successful completion, opportunities will be created for creating livelihoods for the Trainees as self employment (in association with their parents) or group employment (by way of forming them into Self Help Groups (SHGs) with the combination of Trainees & their parents) or employment at local establishments or with Society itself. 

Chetana is looking forward to get connected with the Funding Agencies so that the PWIDDs can be empowered for better living in an inclusive community.
