CHETANA DISTRIBUTES TRACK SUITS TO ITS CHILDREN....

Dear All

To make a difference of its children with special needs, it has designed track suit consisting of pant, t-shirt, cap & badge to 15 children.  

The colour and design as very good and acceptable for the children, parents and others. 

With this Chetana is making its own mark / image among the mass so that the children feel privileged and do better in the respective fields / event.

BIRTH DAY FUNCTIONS AT CHETANA

Dear All

Chetana is continuing the tradition of conducting the Birth Day Function of the Children with Special needs at its Special School. 

On 20th September 2014 it has organized the 7th Birth Day Function of the Chi. Sai Bhavana  in the presence of several such parents. The event was quite happy occasion & great relief to the parents and other family members.

CHETANA WITH MICROFINANCE SCHEME OF LIC FOR THE CHILDREN WITH MENTAL RETARDATION

Dear All

In its search for the innovation for the benefit of Children with mental retardation, Chetana has formed a group consisting of 9 children with mental retardation and taken the LIC Micro finance Policy of "JEEVAN MANGAL" and handed over the policy document to the child, daughter of Shri. Srikant on her birthday celebrated on 20th September 2014. 

It is quite innovative that other 8 members will give a cash gift which works out to be the single premium of the Scheme. It will be done for all other members on their respective birth day.

Knowing the details, another group of 10 children with special needs are ready to take the policy ..

CHETANA SPECIAL SCHOOL WILL BE AT SEVAMELA 2014 TO BE HELD ON 4-5TH OCTOBER 2014

Dear All

In continuation to its active participation in SEVA MELA 2013, it is in the preparation to participate in SEVA MELA 2014 to be held at HITEX, Hyderabad on 4th & 5th October 2014.  

This is a good opportunity for Chetana to show case the abilities & skills of its students having special needs in general and particularly with mental retardation.  

The event also helps Chetana to disseminate the information on:

• causes and consequences of disability; 
• ways of screening and assessment;
• need of early identification & early intervention;
• process of Disability Certification;
• availability of schemes & benefits;
• referral services;
• schools / institutes to get training & rehabilitation;
• measures for the prevention of disabilities;
• solution to the concern of parents that 'what will happen the child after us?' 
• other services / supports .....

SUPPORT OF CMR TO CHETANA SPECIAL SCHOOL SEPTEMBER 2014

Dear All

In continuation, CMR has shown interest in the training and rehabilitation of the persons with mental retardation at Chetana Special School. On 17th September, the Management of CMR has handed over the Cheque for an amount of Rs,61,000/- to the General Secretary of Chetana Special School. 

This amount has been collected by the Students of CMR Group of School who took interest on behalf of the School for the cause of children with special needs. This is has been ell appreciated by way of Certificate and Memento from Chetana. 

The Management, Staff, Children and Parents of Chetana Foundation expressed their satisfaction and happiness to the Management of CMR Group of Schools.

As posted earlier, the computers (3 Nos.) handed over INFOSIS to Chetana Special School has been established and started utilizing by the Management, Trainer and Parents. In the beginning, some activities has been shown shown commuters to the Children. In due course of time, children will be operating under the guidance of the teachers & parents.

CHETANA AT WORKSHOP ON INNOVATION & ETHICS IN HEALTH SECTOR ON 14TH SEPT 2014 BY CIPS AT ASCI, HYDERABAD.

The Team from Chetana attended the Workshop on "Innovation & Ethics in Heath Sector" organized by Center for Innovative Public Systems (CIPS) organized at Administrative College of India, Hyderabad on 13th September 2014. It has made contribution in addressing the need to work for the prevention of disabilities.  

The workshop was participatory in understanding the present issues and ways to come out.

CHETANA PLANS FOR CELEBRATIONS ON THE EVE OF FIRST DECADE OF ITS SERVICE JOURNEY 3RD NOVEMBER 2014

Chetana is happy to bring to the notice of its well wishers and other supporters that it is going to complete its FIRST DECADE of Service Journey by 3rd November 2014. 

Keeping this in view it is planning to bring out a Souvenir as a Professional Document covering all its efforts, case studies, success stories, articles, models, feed backs from parents, professionals, media, and other stakeholders.

PARENTS' MET AT CHETANA ON 6TH SEPTEMBER 2014

Dear All

Giving priority to the parents, conducted Parents Meet in the School and discussed various issues connected with their children training and rehabilitation. Some of them include:

• Enrollment and utilization of NIRAMAYA Scheme of the National Trust;
• Facilitation for Disability Certification, Pension and other Benefits;
• Vocational Training and Livelihoods;
• Residential Facilities;
• Need of Transportation Facilities;
• Role of Mothers in forming into groups and creating livelihoods;
• Loan Facilities for purchasing required machinery support; and
• Other issues of the Children as well as the School.

It was quite interactive and majority has contributed to know what is going on and what can be done with difference....

CHETANA HAS GOT THE SUPPORT OF INFOSIS FOR COMPUTERS

Dear All

The request made by Chetana has been approved by M/s INFOSIS, Hyderabad and approved to handover three computer systems without cost. 

This is the partnership of Service Organizations with MNC for the transfer of technologies to the children with special needs getting training at Chetana. 

The Staff, Management, Children and their parents felt happy for the support and to be part of the handling over function held in the school.
